• costs no additional funds to operate

• gives us a central place to keep MFA App funds

• book-keeps so we don’t have to

• requires SIGNIFICANTLY less time and energy than our former “venmo paypal cashapp” system

• scales all on its own, JIC someone really famous accidentally finds us and tells their 17M followers to send us money

• insulates us from other sources such as institutional promises and winning grants. these income streams put us at risk bc they are unreliable time-sucks. the support of the people, on the other hand, is strong! (handshake emoji) (SOLIDARITY FOREVER!)

• can morph quickly in case of emergency (see above)

• is transparent: u see all the fees we pay, and offer opt-in “fee support” for u, the supporters.
